The Soundbrenner Core has an internal software which is called firmware. It is recommended to keep the firmware up to date to receive all new features, improvements, and bug fixes. It can be updated via our mobile app "The Metronome by Soundbrenner".
How to update the firmware
-
Open our app and log in to your Soundbrenner account.
-
Connect to your Soundbrenner Core by tapping "Add a Soundbrenner wearable" in the Settings.
-
Tap on the Core to open the device settings. If a firmware update is available, you'll see a teal banner "Firmware Update Available". If no banner is visible, you have the latest version.
-
Press the banner and simply follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the firmware update to complete. You will need an internet connection to download the firmware file.
-
Congratulations! Your firmware has been successfully updated. Note: if you use iOS, your Core will be unpaired after the firmware update. Hence, you have to pair it again via the Soundbrenner app after the firmware update is complete.
Troubleshooting iPhone 11
After a firmware update using an iPhone 11, there may be issues to pair your Core. In this case go to iOS Settings (outside the Soundbrenner app) -> Bluetooth -> Tap on (i) next to your Core -> Tap on "Forget This Device" and "Forget Device". Now come back to the Soundbrenner app and try connecting again and you will successfully pair and connect your Core.
